Biography
Nassar is a dual qualified medical professional, having originally qualified as a pharmacist with first class honours from Aston University, Birmingham in 2005. He completed his pre-registration year in a hospital setting, where he enhanced his clinical knowledge and skills by undertaking further clinical studies. This gave him the opportunity to present at various national pharmacy conferences. Nassar is still a registered and practising pharmacist, but more specifically geared towards prescribing and interactions in dentistry.
He has always been interested in medicine and particularly wanted to combine this passion with being hands on, resulting in applying for and being accepted as one of the select few candidates nationally on the accelerated graduate entry programme in dentistry at Barts and The London, Queen Mary’s school of Medicine and Dentistry. It was at this early stage that he developed a particular interest in endodontics, which was reflected by being awarded the prestigious Pitt-Ford Undergraduate Prize in Endodontology. Subsequently, he was given his first membership to the British Endodontic Society (BES) and was invited to present his case at the annual BES Spring Scientific conference where he received his award.
He graduated with distinction in 2012 and went on to successfully complete his membership with the joint dental faculties (MJDF) with the Royal College of Surgeons England. Thus, completing the diploma which enabled him a further membership of the faculty of dental surgery, Glasgow.
Nassar went into general practice working in a mixed NHS/Private practice and enjoyed all aspects of general dentistry. He continued his development as a forward-thinking dentist and gained further skills in dentistry by attending regular courses in cosmetic and restorative dentistry. This enabled him to provide a high level of evidence-based dentistry to all his patients. This includes gaining a PG Cert in implant placement from the prestigious Harley Street Clinic, London.
It was during this phase that he continued his journey in endodontics. Since 2015 he has been focusing on developing his skills as a competent endodontist. He has completed a diploma in endodontics and has since then successfully completed his Master’s degree in Endodontics from Manchester. During this journey Nassar has remained an active member of the British Endodontic Society and has submitted various cases of complex root canal treatment, which resulted in excellent feedback and recognition for their success.
Nassar has invested heavily in furthering his special interest in gaining his MSc, and as the practice is equip with state-of-the-art equipment, such as a microscope and CBCT scanner, he is able to provide the highest standard of treatment. This is all combined with providing the most up to date, evidence-based procedures in order to achieve the best possible results.
Nassar is committed to lifelong learning and has started to pave his career early on in endodontic, therefore intends to continue to build on his existing solid platform in furthering his skills and knowledge base in the field of endodontics. Furthermore, he intends to complete and gain a full specialism in order to be accepted on the specialists register.
