What are your treatment options
for straight white teeth?

There’s not a one size fits all solution to straightening teeth. Depending on your cosmetic needs,
timeframes and budget, we offer a few options to get your teeth back on the straight and narrow.

Discreet clear aligners

Ideal for those who want to improve their smile quickly and discreetly, and with no wires, brackets or braces – we recommend a range of high-tech clear aligner systems including Invisalign and Clear Correct.

Treatment with these popular systems involve wearing a set of clear, made-to-measure aligners that sit over the top of your teeth. When worn, they’re barely visible, yet they work gently and effectively to move your teeth into the desired position in a matter of months, not years. Because the aligners are so discreet, your orthodontic treatment won’t be immediately apparent – and won’t impact on your confidence.

Forget the train tracks of back in the day, our fixed brace solutions are tooth-coloured ceramic braces that blend with your teeth, so they’re not the first thing people see when you smile.

Our state-of-the-art fixed brace solutions, including Damon Braces and Six Months Smiles, involve brackets being attached to each tooth with a thin wire running through them. The reliable, versatile and tried-and-tested logic of fixed braces with our modern technologies make treatment faster, more discreet and more comfortable than ever before.

If you want invisible braces but are not suitable for clear aligners, lingual braces can be fixed to the inside surface of your teeth, offering a much subtler method of treatment. In addition, they are far more effective than clear aligners for complex movements like correcting rotations, changing the heights of teeth and closing spaces.

We offer a comprehensive variety of removable braces – ideal if your lifestyle precludes being able to commit to long-term orthodontics, or you want to straighten your teeth in time for a special event on the horizon. With various option spanning, retainer-style braces and those which combine clear aligners with metal arch wires, we’ll help you select the best solution for your needs during your consultation. The main thing you need to know about our removable brace systems is that they work fast, because they focus on straightening the ‘social six’ smiling teeth.

Help for bite problems

Straighter teeth aren’t just an aesthetic issue. A bad bite – when your upper and lower jaws don’t come together correctly, can cause a host of dental problems, including protruding and misaligned teeth, and tooth wear. It can even lead to headaches and jaw pain and affect your ability to chew and speak properly. In addition to using traditional fixed braces to treat bite problems, we have invested in high-tech appliances that give our patients a wider range of choices. These include ALF (Advanced Lightwire Functional) therapy, a discreet modern device that can treat over/under bites and disoriented teeth by manipulating the muscles to produce a gentle force. We also offer the Herbst appliance, designed to treat overjet – when the upper front teeth protrude over the bottom teeth towards the lip.

Helping children smile straighter for life

At Ascent, we know that you want the very best for your children – and that includes a lovely straight smile. By assessing children at a young age, while their jaw is still soft and growing, we can intervene with a range of gentle methods known as early orthodontics – as well as more traditional teeth straightening when they enter the “tween” years. Many of the brace systems we offer for adults are also suitable for younger patients but the exact brace that will be recommended to your child will be solely dependent on the severity of the case and what tooth movements are needed. Rest assured that we always take a gentle and conservative approach with children and promise to treat them as if they were our own.
