Porcelain veneers, however, are considered a permanent treatment as the dentist needs to remove a minute amount of enamel from the surface of your teeth to ensure the veneer adheres correctly.
How long can veneers last for?
Porcelain veneers have a longer life than their composite counterparts. However, how long they both will last depends on your lifestyle as well. If you maintain a healthy oral hygiene regime of brushing, flossing and mouth wash, you can increase the lifetime of your veneers. If you can avoid sugary drinks and don’t grind your teeth, then your veneers will also last longer. You can still get cavities even if you have veneers!
